The bhog arati for the deity is performed with fire brought from the Manikarnika Ghat in Varanasi (currently burnt logs of wood are brought from the Neemtala Mahashamshan).It is said that this sacred fire, which was originally sourced from Manikarnika, continues to burn to this day and is kept inside the main temple sanctum.
The worship of Devi Tara is conducted through tantric rituals, with some practices being so sacred that only a select few are allowed to witness them.
